6 - 8 months after then event, the amount of articles in newspapers and magazines will have greatly decreased as other events occur and take over the news cycle. Academic articles may start appearing (the peer-review process takes time) and books either about the event or referencing the event may start to be published.
To find coverage from 6 - 8 months after the event through the library, you can limit the search in one of our databases to just those months/years (usually under advanced search).
Gale General OneFile and Academic Search Complete are both good database to search, as well as the library OneSearch. Under the advanced search, you can easily limit to sources from the specific date range (see example below for a search of the Notre Dame Fire that occurred April 15, 2019).
